i am making 1965 Gto and i was wondering how to attach the cars body to the chassis also what are triangles used for and are they important?
You know there's a wiki, right? B25mitch has a whole wiki page on your first jbeam car. Plus you have reference to the official vehicles. Anyways, you need triangles to allow intervehicular collision; nodes are points with no size and therefore no area to hit each other, and beams don't have collision. Triangles is like the webbing between nodes to create a low detail mesh for other vehicles to contact. take a look at the official vehicles, through the debug screen. Exploring there, you should be able to find the triangle debug of which you can reference for your mod. Also, you don't really "attach" parts. You define a slot in the main jbeam, and then you make a new jbeam file and make the new parts for that slot. for example, in fullsize.jbeam, there's a whole section about defining slots; like fullsize_bumper_f. then in the jbeam file fullsize_bumper_f.jbeam you'll see the part goes into the slot. good luck, and try not to make too many more of these one-off threads.
