    Specs:
    I5-4970 - 3.20 GHz
AMD Radeon HD 7700 (Getting old)

So.. Custom graphics with normal mesh, texture and everything else on low or lowest gives me 40-60 fps.

How can i increase this? I want to record with fraps and a stable 40-50 fps..

I shutdown everything exept Steam, BeamNG.Drive to make BeamNG.Drive run better (less cpu usage on unnecesary stuff.)

So, any good advice fellow members can give me?

    - M

Fraps itself lowers the FPS by a lot. Try something like AMD Raptr. It should hopefully be somewhat less CPU Intensive, so recording with that shouldn't nuke your FPS.

Actually. Bandicam is pretty good, Does affect framerate but not way too much (depending on your CPU)

    People still use Fraps
Just try DXtory or Mirillis Action. Both are lightyears better.

Never heard of it, will check it out.

Might buy "Action" as its awesome and it doesnt kill ur fps as Fraps does.

I know, had 50 fps regular on a game, bandicam eat 2-3 of them, so yeah, would buy Bandicam if i could, never has money when needed xD!

Like the others said, Fraps is terrible for high FPS.

Also, it may not improve performance much, but you can run Beam directly through the .exe file without going through steam. My computer is completely shot, but this definitely helps (along with having all the graphics settings off/minimal. This will help best, especially disabling SSAO)

For In-game things press F1 and hit the "performance tab" it will give you all the info you'll want to know.:p

P.S. Devs, you should add that reducing mesh quality to "Low" can vastly improve fps on even high-end machines
