I'm currently working in a custom map, and have a custom guardrail model (which is split into a pole and the actual rail models).
So far I've been placing them manually, where I place two poles on the ground, and then try to place the rail accordingly, putting one end on one pole, and stretching and rotating it until it fits into the other pole, so it ends up like the attached image.

This is however becoming very tedious very quickly so my question is, is there a better way to do this?
Something like creating a path of points, and the rails being created automatically so both ends stretch to the points, or something like that?

Thanks in advance, and I hope there's a better way, because this one... isn't very good. I'm planning on eventually having fences and such too, which would have similar needs.
Also, I don't have a terrain object, this is above imported geometry, if that matters.
