How to disable tires popping?

I'm all for realism but imo the tires on the burnside and pessima pop a bit too easily. Is there a simple way I can disable this?

Not currently. Stick with other cars for now, or at least other wheels. You can use the CTRL+W menu to drill down and choose different wheel/tire combos.

 

Try lowering the wheel pressure maybe ?

 

I think that the tire pressure which causes a tire to pop is typically(?) over 1000psi (achieved during a crash smashing the tire). Lowering your setting for tire pressure from 40psi down to 20psi probably won't fix anything, just make the handling mushy.

 

The tires on the Burnside and Pessima pop the right amount.
Tires used to be way too hard to pop. You can't take a curb at 40 and expect to have no damage.
