Hello BeamNG devs. Your game is the best driving game on the market currently and it’s somehow only getting better with time. I am a very passionate drifter and other games simply cant compare to BeamNG. If you like constructive criticism, one big way to make drifting better in this game is at least 5 - 10 degrees more angle on ProDrift drift suspensions. Most “Pro Drift Car” suspension gives the driver at least 65 degrees at full lock with 0 Ackerman or -100% ackerman in game. I am emphasizing 0 ackerman because most real life professional drift setups aim to achieve zero or slightly positive ackerman. I have spent a very long time understanding your suspension tuning model and I have finally cracked it. Currently at full lock, I am able to achieve 55 degrees at 0 Ackerman (-100%). With 5 or 10 more degrees of angle, this game will become the drifting standard and by far the most accurate drifting experience for “Pro Drift Cars”. Another way it can be improved is by giving the user the option between a front rack and a rear rack setup, specifically on the Ibishu BX series with ProGear drift suspension. With the rear rack setup, it is very prone to over centering which makes the wheel bind at lock and almost uncontrollable at high angle, but this is very realistic as that style of car would have come with a rear rack from the factory and most professional drifters come across this issue in competition. However, there are real life kits that convert the car from a rear rack to a front rack setup, such as Wisefab V3 or FDF Mega Mantis, that completely rid the car from overcentering at zero or slightly positive ackerman due to the better geometry. One of the latest updated included a remaster of the Hirochi Sunburst with the ProDrift drift suspension and it has a front rack configuration, which feels great, but again is still limited on angle. So the most important point I am making here is there needs to be at least 5 - 10 degrees more angle at full lock. This is just my 2 cents and your game is still amazing regardless. Thank you.
