How to install ReShade [0.17.x.x]

Here is a tutorial on how to install ReShade for those who have bugs and problems.

1 - So first of all, start your game and go to Options and Graphics and disable "Enable Hardware Acceleration for the User interface" as ReShade won't work with this option enabled. Then you can close your game.


2 - Now we need to know if your computer is running 32 bits or 64 bits, if you already know the answer you can go to next step.
Click on Windows search bar and type in "System" and open up "System Information"
Then look at "System Type" line and check if you have 32 bits or either 64 bits.

3 - Once this is done head on to ReShade official website. https://reshade.me/
Download the latest ReShade version setup and open it.
You will have this interface


4 - Click on Select game to install or uninstall from, this will open files explorer so that you can choose your game installation location.
Go to your game folder, usually located into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive
if you have 32 bits go to Bin32 and select BeamNG.drive.x86.exe
if you have 64 bits go to Bin64 and select BeamNG.drive.x64.exe

5 - Once you've selected the game executable, press Direct3D 10/11/12 button and then a window that asks you if you want to download standard effects will open, select yes.


6 - A new window will open asking you which effect you want to install, press OK.


7 - You're done ! You can edit ReShade settings if you wish too, if you don't you can just close the Edit window.
ReShade is now installed, you can now start your game and press Home to open ReShade.
