I am testing a new vehicle model in beamng (SUV) and was wanting to use the roamer stuff for jbeam, wheels, suspension, and all that, so I I was wondering if there is a way to safely copy a vehicles files to make a separate copy that uses my model?
In the first instance it's enough to copy/paste the whole roamer folder and rename it. To differentiate the two roamers in the vehicle selector, you might want to rename the name in the info.json file.
Hey, you have to rename the actual vehicle folder as well. The correct folder structure should be like custom-suv.zip/vehicles/custom-suv. Furthermore I recommend you to modify the info.json file a bit to make clear which is your vehicle. At least the deafult roamer will not be broken anymore. Now you have to modify the jbeam files to fit your modded mesh.
It's not surprising , cause you have a cube named "cube" on your dae , you model is called cube.001 , so you have to rename the flexbodies (and maybe could be better to chose an other name to your model and the .dae file to avoid confusion )
