    Now I will teach you how to do Parallax Occlusion Mapping!
    At once I wish apologize if you find errors in my text, because English is not my first language.

    IMPORTANT. When using the function does not display the Specular, so it is better to use it on the terrain.

    Well, let's start.For this we need a texture, "Adobe Photoshop", "XnConvert", and a program for creating normal maps and height maps.
    I prefer to use the program "njob" (http://charles.hollemeersch.net/njob).
    For example, I take this texture:

    Open the texture in the program.
    And the first thing we need to do a height map:

    Configure and click "Ok":

    And be sure to save it as an image! :
    Next we need to make a normal map:

    Again, configure and click "Ok":

    Also, if you need to, you can invert the generation of normal:

    Now we need to convert the normal map in a format tga.
    Open it in "Adobe Photoshop" and alpha channel to insert a height map:

    Save and exit. Open "XnConvert" And convert our tga to png:

    We obtain a normal map with transparency so Parallax Mapping and works on the engine, Torque 3D.
    Adding a normal map on the Terrain, and configure Parallax Scale:
