How to make car skin

    I have never ever done anything to change BeamNG, just play it. I have absolutely no idea how the "jbeam" thing works or anything. I want to make some skins for myself but have absolutely no idea how to. Can someone please help me? I want to make a USPS skin for the Gavril H15. Something like this:

    Can you use an image editing program? That will be required. Find the zip file for the H15 (it's called "van.zip") in the game directory. Unzip that to a directory somewhere that you can work (like in your Documents folder). Find the UV map PNG file and open it in your image editor. That's what you'll need to cover in the right colors and patterns to make the skin.

    Once you've got that, you'll want to save it as a .dds file. There are many posts on the forum already about .dds and how to work with it / open it - use search.

    If you need something to look at for comparison open the van_skin_delivery.dds file once you're setup for working with .dds, that's a functioning skin texture.
