Hi Question to the mapmakers here: As the title says how do you place the rock/cliff-assets? Placing them all one by one, in the tree placing mode seems extremely inefficient. so how do you handle this? Same goes for fences/barriers etc. which are also composed of "tree" objects. there has to be some kind of spline tool?
There is. In the experimental menu. You can add objects to spline to a decal. It works for fences, etc. Not so much for cliffs. Those are either manually placed or another method.
I used the the spline tool for reflector posts. Worked very well in that case. I used the road edge decal as spline. What I didn’t try is if you can use a mesh road as spline. Theoretically it could be possible to use it for cliffs if you place the mesh road vertical. Could be worth a try.
