Hello all, I am currently in the process of designing a ton of buildings in blender and am worried about keeping the load as light as possible. When making the faces of an object, is it best to have triangles like in the rectangle on the left, or squares like the set of six rectangles?

It makes sense to me that the fewer the edges, the better the performance, but I want to be sure

Both are fine. The models themselves aren't much of a performance concern as compared to jbeam; the only issue with high-poly models you could encounter is that they will spike a lot when damaged

Thank you! I ended up going with the rectangles to make it easier to paint textures lol.
