I am creating a city map and would like to know the beast ways to optimise it. All the buildings are ether from east coast or are custom models I created, the ones I made already have lods. If more info is needed I will give you it.

For self created models, obviously aim for lowest polys as possible. As for the Vanilla Assets, some of them are rather high poly but just use them as they are. It really comes down to the size of the map and how many objects you use. On maps with lesser objects you can even get away with using super high poly objects just when there are not many of them. For assets like buildings I add into the game I mostly aim for quarter digit <10k polys. Some Vanilla buildings are way over 30k so if I manage to get my objects to be about 1/3 or 1/4 the size (being a bit less detailed, naturally) I think its fine. Just compare your map to the vanilla ones and look what the devs have done and try to do the same
