Firstly the person who wishes to be the host needs to install Nvidia beta drivers Shared. Please go to this link to install them if you wish to host. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-uk (Note that you have to have a Nvidia Graphics card to host) The second person will also have to have a controller plugged in rather than a keyboard because only one person can use the keyboard 2. Secondly once installed you will notice that a notification will pop up on the right hand side of the screen when you launch games this will say "ALT+Z" which will allow you to then open an overlay. 3. You then need to click on "Stream" 4. You then need to change the guest controls to alongside you. (this is by clicking the guest button and it will then give you a drop down to change the guests controls) 5. Once you have clicked that you click on invite by email and email the person you wish to do a derby with. 6. The person will then receive the invite and will have to click the accept button they get in their email 7. This will then install a small browser addon on the person who will be playing on your computer with you. (The person who wishes to join the person's session will have to have Google chrome installed) Google Chrome Link - https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/ 8. They will then connect to the host and will have the option to join the hosts session. 9. Have fun ! hope you have fun doing 4 player derby's! ask me any questions if you get stuck. Video of how to do it - "warning the quality is bad i will re upload this another time"
I did this earlier today with a friend using Google Remote Desktop. It was awesome, although my friend had to contend with about 300ms of input lag.
Yeah, thats the way i got it to work. Did you get like massive "lag" if you tried to move the camera?
No lag for me hosting. Just input lag for my friend, since he was sending input to me, then it'd be processed on my computer, then the frame would be sent back to his computer. All things considered, 300ms isn't bad.
I'd prefer it when its as solid as a rock and not when you need to do an odd human sacrifice to get it to work...I know a friend with a santic car that he has to do human sacrifices to get it to start up...
Beta drivers : too risky. Just use Chrome Remote Desktop. I played with someone from Australia (I'm in Canada), and they only had ~0.5s input lag. (they got used to it so all was good)
I'll try this out once I have time today. Gonna do some research whether the beta drivers are stable or not first though, just to be safe.
Well this driver on a GTX 770 is real crap... my game now lags and constantly jumps up and down in 10fps increments all the time for no reason. and my settings are rather low yet it still does it.
Sorry dude i think you may need to get a more powerful graphics card. you can just go back into the application and turn off the beta drivers
You have to invite the person to the stream that you have started on the client if you press alt+z and then click on stream then click invite it will allow you to send the person an email invite
I cannot for the life of me get it to show up in my "NVIDIA GeForce Exerience" everytime I search for games it doesn't get added to the list. I've even made the BeamNG directory and Bin32/64 folder entries into the search preferences.
