how to use tires from one vehicle on another?

Sorry if this was posted anywhere before, I searched google and the forums to no avail. I really have been wanting to use some of the crawler/offroad tires on some vehicles that don't provide them. Is it possible to use tires from one car/mod on a different one, and if so, how?

 

Im not a pro on this subject by any means, but i believe you have to modify the vehicle with the .DAE in a modeling program

 

In the latest stable you have to place the wheels onto the vehicle and then do some little jbeam magic

In any experimental you don't have to do any modelling, but you have to do some jbeam magic.
