Im upgrading my current laptop which has an rtx 2060, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd and an i5 10300h (4 core 8 thread 2.5 ghz) and struggles with running the game with traffic (i play on ultra and with abt 4 cars in it goes from like 80 to 50 and 40 on utah. The laptop im looking at a MSI GE66 raider. It has an rtx 2070 super, i7 10750h (6 core, 12 thread), 32gb ram and 1tb ssd. I want to know if this will be a good upgrade and how many cars i could be expected to run. I also like using reshade with rtgi. Im not sure if it will be much of an upgrade but i would really like a second opinion. Thanks.

That laptop should be okay to run ultra settings at 1080p with a little bit of traffic but i'm not really sure about reshade tho.

32 GB RAM is pretty overkill tho. I can run BeamNG fine at 1080p ultra with a few AI cars with 16GB RAM and an RTX 3050 8GB

I have a laptop with the same graphics card and a CPU with 8 cores and 16 threads.

what kind of black magic are you using to get 40 fps on ultra with multiple cars, i don't even get that on low/medium with a single one.

Or the poor thing is just thermal throttling, but idk

The system should run BeamNG.drive reasonably well with decent performance at medium to high settings.
