Hey guys, I plan on getting a new pc in the near future with these specs.
    - AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7Ghz Quad Core processor
    -16 GB RAM
-EVGA GeForce GT 610 2GB Video Card
    How well can it run:
On a map w/ lots of vegetation and one vehicle on high settings? And normal settings?
On a basic map like gridmap with 2-4 cars and settings maxed out? How about normal settings?
    Thank you all :)

16 GB of RAM and a GT 610. Wow. BeamNG will not run well in any possible way with that GPU.

Can I ask why you chose this configuration?

I'm in high school and I don't have a job so I need an affordable build.

Okay, but why spend more on RAM than on a graphics card? I'm trying to think of a situation in which that would make sense, but I can't, especially when you're going to play BeamNG on it.

Do know of any good graphics cards under $200 then?

I'm going to let someone else recommend you specific parts, because I don't have experience with parts in that price range. You should be able to find something decent. Also, 8 GB of RAM is plenty unless you like to multitask like crazy and can think of a specific situation in which you would be using more than 8 GB of RAM.

The GeForce GTX 750 Ti is a great performer for just $150 (last time I checked). I have one myself with a machine of the same class and it can run BeamNG at 1600x900 on Normal settings on a map with lots of vegetation at 60fps.

Edit: narwhal beat me to it D:

I happened to be in the neighborhood, so here's my 2 cents in 3 points:
    • When someone asks me about a <$200 GPU the 750ti is not what springs to mind. The GTX 960 is right below $200 and much faster, here is a Passmark comparison.
    • At today's RAM prices I don't do any new builds over about $300 total with only 8GB of RAM. Keeping a few 'pro' apps running (with work open) quickly eats RAM. I don't want to close stuff just to fire up a game and blow off some steam. Same thing with Chrome - it's easy to consume 4GB or much more. For example, my chrome://memory-redirect/ page currently shows 16GB under the "Memory" heading and "27GB" under the "Virtual memory" section.
    • Without any personal experience with this CPU, I'd say it is likely too slow for a new BeamNG.drive-conscious build. If your goal is to run BeamNG.drive smoothly this CPU probably can't quite deliver in all situations. I am specifically looking at single-threaded performance which appears to be about 15% slower than the Intel i5-2500, my own personal bottom-end benchmark for playability on fresh builds. Single-threaded performance is currently the key thing for base BeamNG.drive performance, while the number of simultaneous threads becomes relevant once you spawn multiple vehicles. All of my prior points aside, if you are concerned specifically about BeamNG.drive performance I'd reduce your spending on other items and get more CPU performance by spending more money on a better CPU.
Based on prior conversations about AMD's architecture, I suspect that beyond 2 cars may be a problem for the CPU you selected. I think that on maps like ECA and JRI the vegetation will be a stretch with only 1 car.

Tell me a budget. I have done a lot of PC builds, even with less money. Example: 600 Euro's, i5 4460, 8GB Ram, GTX950, 1TB SSHD. Quality BeQuiet 500 Watt PSU and ASUS H81-Gamer Board. The new owner is very happy and proud with it.

Would you mind giving me more details about your pc? That sounds like one that would work best for me. Something cheap but also decent at gaming. Thanks in advance

Christ with an Intel CPU, you'd be better off using the integrated graphics than the gt610, the 610 is a piece of shite.
@torsion the Athlon predates shared cores. It's slower than an fx at same clock speed though, but it does have 1 fpu per core

    1. Unfortunately Intel only puts the powerful iGPU's on the expensive CPU parts. Without looking it up, they probably do not offer an iGPU which can rival the GT610 on less than a ~$180 CPU... it's a good strategy for Intel for as long as they can get away with it.
    2. The FPU comment is incorrect. "The Athlon" is not what we are dealing with here or we'd really be in trouble (1999!!!). The Athlon X4 860K was released in 2014 and is Steamroller based. (Steamroller is a Bulldozer derivative and thus is affected by the shared FPU.)
