I can barely even play this game? WTF

I got an fx 8320 and an overclocked 760 and I can barely play this.

I can only play on some terrains with limited amount of cars. It's impossible to play with the T75, 16 frames no less no more. I can get up to 60 with the D15 on some maps however.


Is that normal? Turning the settings to lowest literally makes no difference in fps, even 4K barely eats FPS. Is the game that unfriendly to poorer AMD cpus for me to get such a gigantic bottleneck?

 

I can run this on a i5 2500 which is boosted to 3.6GHz and a AMD R9 270X 2GB sapphire factory OC'ed fine at 30FPS, may be able to put it back on 60FPS now...

 

The game is that unfriendly to CPUs that have poor single core performance. Most newer AMD chips have poor single core performance.

 

It's horrible. AMD seems to perform really bad at anything CPU intensive. I can run GTA V almost maxed out at 50-60 fps no problem but I get 20-40 on GTA IV mid-high lol.

The only way I seem to be able to play the game with the heavier vehicles and maps is if I use cheat engine and set the speedhack to 0.79. If I go to 0.8 it goes from 60 to 25 fps with the T75. A bit sloppy but playing it a bit slower smoothly is way better than 16 fps at real time.

 

I should get an Nvidia .

 

No, it's not your GPU but it's your CPU that you should be upgrading!

 

I've got a stock 8350 and an OC 760, i've never dropped below 40fps.. and that's with all settings maxed.

 

Intel i5 3.20 Ghz ?
