I can see why people burn out making mods

I've been going at this for around 2 months, I just barely know what I'm doing & I'm very likely doing things the hard way. But, as I haven't been able to get permission to release anything as I've only had 1 out of 3 respond with an "I don't know yet", I don't feel like I'd be able to get any help with anything since I can't send anything I'm working on to anyone for help.

The point is though, I've put over 150 hours into what could likely amount to nothing & as much fun as it's been I've hit a brick wall I can't find my way around without help & it's frustrating. Knowing how little I know I can imagine how frustrating it can be for people who know what they're doing.

    P.S.
Folks, be kind to these people, if you don't make mods you really can't understand the madness it can bring & why it takes so long to release things sometimes or not at all.

I don't think there's "the hard way" and "the easy way" in modding. There's just the proper way, any attempts by lazy people at trying to "cheat" through it by misusing tools and doing weird workarounds only hurt the quality of the mod. In a small mod like a prop or some body kit it may not be noticable that much, but when you are making a whole car, it's instantly visible when you drive around.
Also, half of the modding process is finding brick walls like this and having to find a way around them. Sometimes other people will help, sometimes you are on your own. Maybe more experienced people are able to solve those problems faster, idk. But yeah this is all very relatable to me except for the part with permission issues, I somehow haven't had an issue like this yet.

Notepad++, Blender & a vague idea of how things work. Most of what I've done is either cosmetic work, or some added parts pulled from the mod it was made from originally. I'm just having some trouble with lighting a the moment & it's driving me nuts because I don't know what broke it.

As for the permission issues, I can mostly understand the "I don't know yet" for the reason given but the other 2 just straight up won't reply & I'm not sure why.

Maybe try starting with a vanilla car then, this way you don't have to wait for permission

I would but the mod I'm working on is the only thing I've really had any interest in doing anything significant with or releasing for that matter, otherwise I just do things for fun & just to see if I can.
