I cant modify my car

I click on the vehicle config menu click on the little arrow next to body then click on a part inside that drop-down list and it just turns red. can anyone help

 

I think there's an "apply" button somewhere in the lower part of the menu.

 

I click that and nothing happens to the car and it still stays red
