So first off this was my old car, a 96 Honda accord.

    P_20171224_093534.jpg

Only a couple months in the tranny decided to retire without notice and I decided I was never going to own a auto trans vehicle again.

So my new car an 02 ford focus zx5. Nothing special but with the Dohc and a manual trans I was happy with it.
    (the blue one)

Even though I was happy with it there was this one problem almost every car has..... It was quiet!
So what do you do? Straight pipe it and stick a big chrome hollowed out motorcycle exhaust as a tip.

    Problem solved! :)

However I wasn't satisfied, My exhaust needed to be cooler. So what else do you do?

    You make it shoot flames!

(you can see the spark plug wire right behind the wheel.
The switch turns off the ignition coil so I can floor it and let all the gas pass through the engine and then POOF.

Then there was a tragedy I forgot to turn off the spark plug switch when I ran into Freddie's for a quick errand. (Exhaust spark wires directly connected to the battery.)

After turning off the switch and clearing the car of smoke I started it and drove back to school. Turned the key off and pulled it out....the car was still running. So I had to open my hood and cut the wires before going to class. Long story short I fixed it after class and ran new wires for everything.

Now it was time for cosmetic repairs.
Used a drifters stitch to fix the cracks in the bumper and I think it looks sick. (I know what your saying....Dude your car is filthy!)
    Okay, Okay, bath time.
I have to drive half a mile through gravel and mud puddles every day so yeah.

Here's a couple other random pictures.
    Hooning in the snow.
    Somewhat cool Odometer reading.
    More fire.

Plans for the future? Cleaning up the paint, few rust spots and torn stickers and using touch-up paint. Giving the whole car a polish and wax and maybe painting the rims black.

    Whatta you guys suggest?

If you think all automatic reliability is like the Accord's, it's like thinking all of the US is like Detroit's ghettos.

Most Accord auto's are fine anyways.
Its just those people who hard slam on the automatic gearbox and whine about it when they break.
    Remember:
Treating auto trannies like shit (ie: burnouts, launches, pulls, etc) will only land your transmission to break.

God I hate those noise exhausts on ordinary cars...

Congrats though, I don't even really own a car at the moment.

    Remember:
You never know how the previous owner treated it. Even if the owner is a senile lady, she could have let her hoon of a grandson use it as well.

In that budget, I'd rather get a Lexus SC.

Even more refined, even more reliable.

You really want this but you could be talking about the one from the late 1990's and early 2000's A car I never seen once in my life.

I looked at Lexus classifieds in your area, and I have a question - do you shoot Lexus owners on sight in NY or what?

Because there are very few of these things.

    Or it's a crapbox like Honda's.

When did I specifically state that it was all his/her fault?

most of the sedeans around are nissians, toyotas, hondas or subarus and almost nothing else, but stuff like this is fairly common
