I have to download mods rather than simply "installing" them

I seem to not be able to use the simple method of downloading mods by clicking the green "install" button, instead i have to click the orange "download" button and download mods manually. If anyone has alternatives for downloading mods or knows why my green install button won't work and how to make it work I would very much appreciate it along with many others as i have heard of other people with the issue. Thanks you for the help

 

Honestly, you should just download them manually. I personally think it's a lot easier than using the install button.
You can set your download option in your browser to let you pick where it downloads to, and from there it's basically a few clicks and the mod is good to go.
The zipped file goes in the mods folder, which is in the BeamNG.Drive folder inside your documents folder, in case you didn't know how to install mods manually
