i am wanting to get the bodies, paints, and chassis(maybe) from MX vs ATV Unleashed so i can use them on the monster truck. multiex doesn't work since i can't start it. also, i'm on windows 10
Have you tried to rename the file.pak into file.zip and extract it then? I dont own the Game so i cant test it but in some situations it works.
theres quite a few different games using the extension .pak. Its simply a shorthand for package. Unfortunately this actually means there is no universal .pak opener as the internal structure of different games .pak files is totally different. You will need to research tools specific for that game
Windows explorer can open the quake 3 ones just renaming them to .zip, but not the RAGE ones --- Post updated --- Best software to try is simply 7zip. Works better than winrar for general purposes anyway, and doesnt use the file extension to determine what type of archive it is, it checks the headers through all known filetypes. If it feels the .pak header matches a zip file header it will treat it as a zip. It also has a ridiculous number of formats supported (more than winrar). If anything will just open it without being specialist software it will be 7zip.
i've tried them and they don't work with my setup. multiex won't allow me to sign in, and the others say it isn't a supported .pak file

I managed to sign into the program first try. You need to use your email you entered when you downloaded it and the registration code they sent you in the Registration email.
