I have a problem. I just bought the game, downloaded it, and ran it. i went into the settings and changed it from windowed 720p to full screen 1080, and changed the display from intel to nvidia. it displayed in full screen and said i have to restart it for the changes to take effect. now when i start it, it says "Failed to initialize Direct 3D! Make sure you have Directx 9 installed, and are running a graphics card that supports Pixel Shader 1.1" i really just want to rever it back to what it was, originally. is there a way to do that?

just for reference, i'm running a asus a75v notebook, with nvidia geforce gt 630M. i usually do this with all my games, making sure that they run with the better gpu. this is the first time i've had this problem. I've reinstalled DX9, from microsoft, then from the included installer (\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\DXSETUP.EXE), to no avail. so to bring it back to the original question, since it ran the first time i downloaded it before fiddling with the settings in game, can i change the settings back to default? where is the graphics settings file?

    thank you.

Did you update the graphics card drivers like I said to try or fiddle with the NVidia control panel?

    Anyway
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\BeamNG.drive\scripts\client\prefs.cs stores the game settings on the steam version. You can either try to edit the file manually to rectify the situation or plan B, delete the file and verify steam cache to restore it. If you go plan B, delete the file (I'm sure you can work that one out :p) then in steam, right click BeamNG.Drive>Properties>Local Files>Verify Integrity Of Game Cache, then hopefully when you restart the game it will be fixed.

thank you for your response, i did both. i updated the dx9 drivers, then checking the nvidia control panel, i saw i had the latest drivers for my card.

i will go with plan B, since that is a simpler way to do it, and once again, i appreciate the feedback. i hope we can be friends. :)
