So... I've been having an issue where my monitor is getting shaded red instead of black for some reason. However, when I physically yank on the DVI cable, the problem goes away for a few seconds. I don't know what is wrong exactly, but I reckon it is due to a poor connection between the cable and the monitor. Is there any way I can fix this issue without buying a new monitor???
Do you have a spare monitor and/or DVI cable you can test with? If you do swap the monitor but use your old cable, if the issue still persists keep the spare monitor but swap the cable. if it still persists even with those 2 new parts then you most likely have a gpu issue of some kind.
Sadly, I do not have either. I might be able to test it out using a spare DVI cable if I find one, though. Also, my card is an RX 580 8GB, in case that helps.
Well, I would check out these links. I hope this helps. https://techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=64688 https://www.google.com/search?q=mon...&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&safe=active&ssui=on
