How do modders determine what LUA they want and how to make it work without breaking the game? What methods do they usually use?
Well, knowing what to want is essential when making a mod. You'll just have to learn to make it work, teach yourself coding, 3D-modelling, texture design, etc. There aren't really any specific methods, it's just trial and error until it works.
I just edited here I was talking about LUA somehow their secret is they can make LUA work with the custom they do?
Lua is a programming language that's slightly easier than Python, you'll just need to learn it, there are plenty of resources online
