A very small progress update: License plates! For vehicle identification, and adding random, obscure, jokes and references. (^^) Fixed shading on rear window trim. It was shading far too darkly, and it turns out I just forgot to UV map it and it was defaulting to black. Slightly changed UV mapping on taillights to better distinguish between turn signals and reverse lights. I still need to do glowmaps, but that's based on the jbeam. Very rough mock-up of a spoiler. A start of some lettering. I still need to do normal maps (which I haven't figured out how to do yet). Things are coming along quite nicely, at least on the model side of things. I have several more areas I need to touch up, but nothing too drastic. The interior is going to need some work, but that too shouldn’t be too difficult. My major concern is the jbeam. I’ve taken a look at some other jbeam mods to get a general idea of what I need to do, and I think I get it. I really just need to delete the current rear window from the Pessima jbeam, and add a roof and rear pillar to fit the minivan. That being said, it’s easier said than done, so bear with me. (^^)
The rear hatch has always been slightly rounded towards the top, but I’ve been fixing a lot of UV inconsistencies and tweaking the poly-flow on some things, so it likely appears a little smoother than before due to more consistent shading. Hmmm, you’re right, the hatch definitely needs a bit of interest. I’ll see what I can do! (╹◡╹)
Not at the moment, but I’d estimate it’ll be early April at the latest. It all depends on what problems I run into with the mesh and jbeam, and how busy I am. I’d like to be done by mid-March, but we’ll see how things go. (^.^)
Clicked that reference link in the initial post and found myself in the middle of a pedophilic fandom. I will never be able to look at this mod the same way again... :/
Seeing as you are very new here, allow me to explain how this works to you. You can not download this mod yet, because the author (Re:Z_IA) is not finished with it. That is why there is the orange "WIP" tag in front of the title, it means the mod is a work in progress. Once the mod is ready for an initial release, the tag will change to "BETA" and a download link will be posted. In the beta stage, the mod is still not complete, and will probably have a few minor bugs. Once these have been worked out, the mod will be fully ready for release, and the tag will change to "RELEASED"
Wait, what? *Sigh* I’m assuming you mean the Re:Zero compilation, and after glancing at the comments, I see what you mean. I hate the anime community so much sometimes. It’s full of idiots who do things like that and ruin it for everyone else. (◞‸◟) I apologize for inadvertently linking to that crap. I included the compilation purely for the sake of explaining the name a bit better, I didn’t anticipate the comments that would be attached. “Kashira” is simply a common, semi-formal, question particle in Japanese meaning “I suppose” or “don't know whether,” and is used quite a bit in anime, particularly by ‘higher class’ characters (such as Yukinoshita from Oregairu). As I’ve said before, I jokingly came up with the name when I couldn’t think of a good name for the van and decided “I’ll just come up with a placeholder, I suppose.” I liked how Kashira sounded, and the results of the poll seemed to be in favor of it, so I kept it. Kashira can also mean "boss" or "leader" in some context, which I thought was fitting since the van is a fairly large car. Once again, I apologize for anything you had to deal with because of that video. I've removed the video from the original post to hopefully prevent any more issues. I do not condone behavior like that in any way, but unfortunately, there are a lot of people in the anime community who act like that. It’s honestly just really sad, the vast majority of people don't act like that at all, but somehow the few terrible outliers are so prevalent. As just a general, semi-related, message for everyone, make sure you're being the best person you can be. There will always be idiots and trolls, but be better than them. Trolls are fueled by attention, so don't give in to their antics. And remember that a little positivity and friendliness goes a long way. Everyone makes a difference, try to make an attempt to make a positive one. (*^^*)
