Ibishu Mirena (2000-2010) Pronunciation: / mi-rii-na / Naming: The Mirena is purposefully similar yet different from the Ibishu Miramar (that @Nacho Problem is working on so I would let her do the thing when she is far more skilled than me). Its naming is inspired by the real-life Maxima too (explains that it has only 6 letters instead of 7). Inspirations: Nissan Maxima (for being based on the Pessima which is the BeamNG equivalent of the Nissan Altima), Infiniti M for the longitudinal engine layout Lore: Ibishu wants to export LHD markets (mainly the North American, Middle Eastern, and less commonly European markets) with a newer luxury vehicle that is DIFFERENT yet having some semblances the Miramar as well as the Pessima. The Mirena being a longitudinally mounted vehicle, fits perfectly in between the two. If you do manage to spot some ETK-based parts for the interior, that is because there is some assistance from ETK for the Ibishu to develop a highly-advanced modern sports sedan. A: V6 engine model (NA and TT, except for joining some separated parts), Front Mirena bumper (facelifted upper, sport and race under), Rear Mirena bumpers (accommodates quad-exhaust), Exhausts (not joined yet) Interior skin in general (Black, Gray, Beige LEATHER), Gauges Q:What things need to work on and need help? A: Engine tuning, wheels, configs, rear suspension jbeam (adding upperarm to midsize_suspension_R.jbeam) . Most of them are done (reusing the original midsize rear suspension jbeam for now, model is done), lettering could borrow some help for upgrading to b, nm, o and r maps from d, n and s maps (alternate approach to lettering is helped by @Bentonchiez ) Q: RHD????? A: Not the initial release lol, will be released in the 1st update that is POST initial release NVM RHD will be finished too and will be released in the initial release Q: But wait, you haven't shown us the superchargers and V8s!!!! A: Yes they WILL be done, since I am split on using a centrifugal or a roots supercharger (if I am using centrifugal supercharger then it will take A LOT longer time though since I have no experience with centrifugal superchargers!, I might try to ask @JΛVI if I am allowed to use some assets from the Classic Engine Expansion Pack), Supercharger is done btw Potential bugs: - Hood is twitching hard - One bit of the rear quarterpanel does not work well for skins (mainly due to Pessima and EUDM Pessima having different UVmaps) but they are relatively minor - Rare but when driven extremely hard and crashing, the left exhaust might break off the car Note this is my first (serious) vehicle mod that will be having its own vehicle slot, so please do not be too criticizing. Awesome work, this will be a BANGER mod! I wish you good luck with your build and I can't wait to see how this mod will evolve while in development --- Post updated --- If you want, I can create/share a few instrument clusters I made on SIM Dashboard for you to take inspiration. This is my quality level:
Oh nice, this looks promising! and i have no problem if you want to use parts from my mod, all im asking is credit
Might consider reusing the original Pessima I4 being a 2.0L being a SR20DET (sorry NA 2.0 is just not powerful enough).
Not too much but the bumpers will be different for sure. As well as the gauge cluster since 140 MPH is just too low for the Mirena's base trim top speed. --- Post updated --- I might put in a V10, but it will not be present in the initial release.
Go ahead and post the file, I will do the flexbody renaming as well as jbeam position adjustments. I will also credit you on your work on to automatic gearbox adjustments. Note that the automatic is a 5-speed.
As well as adding some LUA, especially shiftlogic to the transmission, by the way there is a mod file so I can find out the original character from the weight of the car to the character of the engine's torque curve.
Automatic gearbox ratios will not be adjustable in the game, so you will have to manually set them in separate jbeams, I suggest you use the Jatco 5R05 transmission ratios Jatco 5R05 transmission - Wikipedia Besides I seriously need help in the gauge making (I have no experience in it) and even simplified the plans (speedo and tacho needles will only receive multiplier modification) so more people will be willing to help me out.
For the part you mentioned "Automatic gearbox ratios will not be adjustable in the game, so you will have to manually set them in separate jbeams" Actually I already knew that a long time ago
I can help with the design of the instrument gauges (unfortunately I don't know anything about modding, I can't make them in-game but only on SIM Dashboard ir other capable apps). I made a post on this before, it should be the third one of this thread.
