In the mid-2000s, the compact MPV market in Maphilindo was experiencing a fierce rivalry. The Arima Hestia, a best-selling nameplate in the region, dominated the roads, leaving little room for competition. Ibishu, a well-respected Japanese automaker, saw an opportunity to disrupt this segment by introducing a more modern, fuel-efficient, and feature-rich alternative. Thus, in 2005, the Ibishu Xendro was born.
