I'm messing around with the Garfield Heights map (for personal use and adding map editing experience for me) and I don't know how to make the roads like they have ice on them. (IE: Slippery). Then I want to put snow instead of grass, but of course I don't know how to that either. Help?
Since no one has answered yet, I'll try and help. When you lay down a decal road, you usually paint under it with the terrain painter, and select the texture for it (usually asphalt or concrete) which comes with a groundmodel attached. The groundmodel has properties that define the grip of objects (most often tyres) and also kick up a particle system (dust for sand and dirt, flying grass for grass etc). These threads might help you with this as most of Garfield Heights is a static mesh and it has a terrain married up against it. http://wiki.beamng.com/Groundmodel_on_static_objects http://wiki.beamng.com/index.php?title=Physics_Materials&redirect=no
