if we imported the tdu or tdu2 map we could make the biggest map in beamng like its 1600 km2 and it runs in an potato pc
that's not how it works. While the map is pretty low-poly, test drive has probably a chunk system so that parts of the map far away are not loaded.
lets actually get real. first, porting a map is way harder than it sounds. You have to convert everything to work with beam, then put it in the correct file structure. second, that map might run well in its native game, but beam would not react well to that. optimization has gotten better over the years, but it has not gotten to that point yet. third, it is protected by copyright, so if they decide to submit a dmca request, all of that work would have been for nothing. everyone gets mad when their mod is reuploaded, but they want stuff from mods from other games to be ported to beam without the authors consent :/
