    • Mods vanished
    • Lost changes when modding levels or materials
    Explanation

    If the default user path was not created in documents, the game would think it's impossible to use that path and would default to "C:\BeamNG.drive_userpath".
    The game can also default to this path if Ransomware protection is activated in Windows Defender.

    Affected Version

    BeamNG.Drive 0.15.0.4 and 0.15.0.5 using default user path

    Fix

    You need to move files back to the default userpath "USER*\Documents\BeamNG.drive\"
    Once you moved all your files, you need to delete the folder "C:\BeamNG.drive_userpath" so the message does not appear again.

    *USER correspond usually to your Windows account name

    Hint

    To move your files faster, you can delete the cache folders
