I think you could find something better than those.
The HP is good in quality and looks, but the FX processor (which is a dead platform) and the poor after-sales service is not that I really wanted.
The Acer has the better Intel i5 and Nvidia MX150 GPU, but Acer wasn't good in terms of reliablity.
Either way, if I have $600, I would spend it for a desktop or save more for an even better one.

I would go for Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Try to find a good quality, good rates, and no FX cpu.
    [edit]
while I am not a particularly big fan of Acers I would go with it.
BUT, I think you could still find better deals than this.
for example, If it was me, try taking advantage of saving 250$ on Dell's website with their Inspirion gaming series. (Hint, I'm a big Dell fan)
I am not trying to be biased or force you to buy something. It is up to you. Would you rather have a better looking pc or have better performance? I would choose performance.

I'd go for Acer here, the only issue i have had with them are that the hard-drives are sooo low quality and slow it really drags down the machine, replace the HDD with an SSD and it's amazing.
    *edit*
it has an SSD, go for the Acer. Only issue is the TN panel, which the reviews say are the weakest link. Shame really as the rest is ok. At least it has high resolution (so more stuff can fit on screen)

Went with the Acer. Not too bad in person. Please excuse my cheap 1.3 megapixel camera.

Not bad. But why it has a GTX sticker when your PC has an MX 150?

Not too bad for a laptop. Pretty good value.
