So if you know, some guy tried to make a map using Gooogle Earth 3D render. And It worked! Im thinking of Doing the same but on a larger scale. This would mean 2 things: 1-The Orange part is not possible. Not because of game limits etcetera but because the ZIP would be around 2TB 2-The red one is the part im going to focus on (If I even start this project). Its not going to be perfect at the beginning but it might get updates as I learn how to use blender and the editor
You really should make a square area instead of this, the game can't really deal with rectangular terrain that well
Thougth about that. So I decided to come up with this, since i saw some maps doing the same: *the drawigs are not perfect lol*
I know but its the only way to not have an enourmous file size. Most of the penisula I draw lacks of roads. So it would be unnecessary to have a squared map if there are no roads.
If it doesn't have many roads then why bother making it a map for a driving game?? Actually I would think the more roads there are, the better optimization because less area is covered by foliage and trees.
how about draw out where the roads will be, then scale it around that no point in rendering an area you cant drive to
