I'm worried my PC won't run BeamNG well

I literally just joined, so please don't make fun of me for being a n00b. I'm possibly getting Beam soon but I'm worried about my performance.
My specs are:
Intel i7-2600, 3.40GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX550Ti
Win10 32-bit
I'll be upgrading to 64-bit Windows soon, but my main hang-up is my GPU. It's listed in the minimum requirements but I'm comfortably above the minimum in every other way. Anything I can do to get better FPS? The tech demo runs fine, and I don't want to have to ask my dad to find me a better graphics card three months after he built me my current rig.

 

Your Gpu is surely a bit aged, but other than that the game should run decent on lower settings

 

Thanks! As long as I don't have to put it on the lowest settings where it looks like SimCopter, I'll be happy.

 

The game has been optimized a lot since the tech demo was made. If you're happy with how that performs you should be fine with the current version.
