Hello, so as we all know BeamNG.Drive struggles to run on older hardware. Devs made a good job optimizing it, but it simply is a big game. To some extent you can optimize the graphics, so that lower end gpus (e.g. my 1050m) can run it at a playable frame rate. Of course many if not most us lower end players run the game at 1080p. Even here we could use some upscaling, I believe. (Since we've gotten Vulkan we can add upscaling!) When considering options here we have: NVIDIA DLSS --- Only works on RTX GPUs - cuts out all the low end. (Unrecommended) Intel XESS --- Not yet stable (Unrecommended) And last but best: AMD FSR3 --- Works on most GPUs (for me even with frame gen on GTX 1050m), is pretty reliable, better than Antialiasing (kind of). Now second thing to consider is wether to add any frame gen technologies... No Idea here, internet has mixed opinions on that. For anyone trying to squeeze some performance, get Lossless Scaling. Works very well with BeamNG.Drive in only LSFG mode. Thanks for reading through this way too long post! What do you think? Which upscale should we see in game if any?
At the very least, make it easier to set up the game so you can use Lossless Scaling (windowed mode set to certain resolution, and not stretched to screen like it currently does) without having to edit the JSON file. If you are not going to add baked in upscaling, at least make it easier to use Lossless Scaling please.
