I've seen a few threads that ask how to do the opposite thing. I want to import one of the models from BeamNG (want to fiddle a bit with those industrial junk models from the Industrial map) into a 3D program. Im using Autodesk 3dsmax 2010 and apparently I cant import the .DAE models into the program.

    3dsmax prints this out:

While reading or writing a file the following notifications have been raised.
-Warning: Material parameter not supported: index_of_refraction
    -ERROR: Unrecognized geometry element: extra
-ERROR: Unable to parse xml/dae file

Do I need any additional plugins? Or am I doing something wrong....

Have a look at the autocollada pluginf ro max, i find it works better and i beleive its compatible with 2010 better than the 2014 i use so it should be fine for you.
