So, I just now noticed this when looking at the mods window on the main menu and noticed that the amount of activated mods keeps changing, and that I also the apparent sudden influx of mods is causing the game to run horribly, I noticed that the in-game repository is "re-downloading" all the mods that I already had installed in their respectable vehicles/levels folders, into the repo folder in the mods folder. Is there any way to stop this, or prevent it from re-downloading mods?

If you go into the settings, there should be an option called "Automatic Mod Updates". If you disable that (as it is enabled by default), that should hopefully fix things.

Honestly, the mod repository's still a new feature, so of course there's still some kinks to get worked out. Same thing happened with the powertrain update, the West Coast update, etc. Nothing's perfect and BeamNG is no exception.
