input maps for Fanatec gear?

Hi guys,

I uninstalled this game a few months ago because I found it too time consuming and cumbersome to figure out how to make my Fanatec gear actually work in this game.

I just reinstalled it several patches later and I still can't figure it out.

I just want to play this game, without doing research and editing stuff for hours.

Could someone who owns my gear help me out?

I'm still having problems. Some functions work and others don't and no matter what I do I can't get them to work the way they should. I've been emailing back and forth with Kamil but haven't heard back.

I haven't been able to play this game since the days where the community made input maps that we dropped into the folders.

This is no bueno

 

The problem is that I cannot set my wheel/pedal functions properly. Some functions work and others don't, then once I start playing, the functions that worked may or may not work. There is conflict with the mouse taking over steering and whatever functions I've tried to set and save don't actually save.

I'll post the file later. I've already sent it to Kamil and he simply replied that they would try to fix it for the next patch which was a few weeks ago.

Can I request my money back? Seems like it will be a while before this game is playable for me.

 

Just tried the new patch, nothing has changed.

1) I start the game
2) I set my bindings (yes the game shows my fanatec gear)
3) I apply the binding for each function and remove the other bindings such as keyboard so as to not have a conflict (I've tried both, not removing other bindings and removing them)
4) Start free roam, as soon as the loading screen shows, there are bindings shown on the bottom left side and none of my bindings were applied
5) Some bindings work, some don't.

Maybe a full reinstall if you haven't tried already?

Uninstall from steam, delete both the folders from documents-BeamNG.drive and steamapps-common-BeamNG.drive then reinstall from steam.

If you do this don't forget to backup screenshots and mods.

 

I just did a clean install of my entire system bc I bought a new SSD, so this is not the issue but thanks for your advice.

I've tried what you suggest also. It just happened to be in a different log I guess.

The main problem is this. Once the bindings are set, I load a map and or car and right away I can see the bindings shown on the bottom left of my screen...some or none have actually saved no matter what I try...and still I'm looking at the bindings being on the keyboard or mouse.

Honestly I still have high hopes for this game and what it will deliver once it is complete. I'm not always wanting to race around a track in order to finish first. I'll pick it up when it's complete or closer to completion.

I hope the staff can figure out the binding problem.
