Anyone who enjoyed GTA4's movie maker and the DiRT series knows what I'm talking about. What this game needs in the future is instant interactive replay. I have been racing around Small Island, USA, in first person view, and having great crashes, but I just want to see what the crashes look like from the outside! It would also be a huge benefit for all of those video makers out there. Its not a big priority, but it is definitely something to look into developing. Thanks!
I'd really like to see a timeline-style replay system implemented into the game. I'm a big fan of the Dirt series, and enjoy using the Flashback mode to view crashes and drifts. However, due to the lack of editing controls, it fails to allow user creativity to improve the clips and add interest. One of my favorite games for replays is (surprisingly) Skate 3. By pressing a button, it allowed the player to replay recent gameplay at various speeds and camera angles, exactly like in Dirt. However, by pressing another button, it gave the player access to a broad range of editing tools to improve the clip. You can shorten the clip to highlight the moment you desire, use a variety of complex cameras, change speed, and add other effects like shake and tint. Then, after editing the clip, the player can save the clip to watch it later. I'd really like to see a similar system added to the game. Unfortunately, this seems like a low-priority idea at the moment. The game still needs a ton of work, and a replay mode isn't particularly important for the function of the game.
I agree with 0-60. It would probably be coming, but you can't be sure about when, since it's low priority (in favor of other higher priority stuff, physics improvement, bug fixes, etc.)
I have made many of gta 4 videos using gta 4 vid editor. i would be happy if BeamNG had this feature either.
Completely agree. Rigs of Rods has a great replay feature that I would love to see implemented in this.
A editor like trackmania's editor would be useful (without the car blocks of course) But things like the camera angle blocks and camera effects (fov, dof, focus, motion blur etc
