I thought it would be a good idea to make it so users can upload their mods for the game to the Steam workshop. There are countless games that do it, for example Besiege, and I thought it would make downloading mods a lot easier, especially for new users.
Nope. Not gonna happen. It has been suggested a lot of times before and here's an reply to it from @Nadeox1
This is a reason I would like a disagree or dislike button. To show that I think a suggestion is a bad idea, without having to post anything.
honestly, it IS a good idea. Its just that its been already explained before why its not gonna happen. Basically BNGDevs dont want to force people to use steam as a monopoly for their mods.
Also the fact that steam workshop has no quality control whatsoever. The mods uploaded to the mods section of this website do have some quality control so the mods page isn't filled with broken mods or models ripped from forza slapped onto the Grand Marshall JBeam
There's a Russian mod for the McLaren which has a stretched covet jbeam on it... Imagine if that was on the mods section.
Well the beamng community would like only their mods on the website. In my opinion the modders on this website are very trustworthy and the mods are usually guaranteed to be high quality.
This hating toward those categories is really getting on my nerves. Especially when people start voting everything in there 1 star just because it's a configuration/skin. (Reviews which I remove, as those aren't actual reviews, but circlejerking) Don't like it? Pass over it :|
Dude, i respect you and all, but removing criticism because you dont like it its not cool. Even if the criticism is kinda dumb.
Nadeox said he removes hate directed simply because it is a skin, not when it is criticism of the actual skin. I don't think it is really criticism if it is directed at the fact that it is a skin, so I don't see the problem there. If someone is hating on something for being a skin it seems like it should be removed, as it isn't contributing anything or respectful to any skin creators.
If a review criticizes the fact that a mod is the mod that it is as opposed to the substance of it, then it deserves to be removed.
