I created a map using gridmap as a template but now i run into a problem, there is an invisible groundpane around the whole terrain at height 512. I created a waterpane as sea but if you are outside off the map you will will hit an invisble barrier at height 512.

How do i get rid of this?

Maybe your 'Terrain' is below Z coordinate 0 ?
If your terrain is placed lower than that, as soon you go outside the terrain, you will get slight-shot-ed to Z coordinate 0.

Or, you maybe left a 'Groundplane' somewhere?
Screenshot of your 'Scene Tree' please?

Thanks for the information, my map is indeed at height 0
Is there an easy way to move the whole map up? When i try to select everything the forest doesn't move, when i try to move the forest by selecting all trees in the forest editor the game crashes.

If your map is at coordinate 0, that shouldn't happen.

Does it gets shoot up by 'a lot' or 'a bit' ?

Some screenshot as I mentioned earlier would help.
    Eventually the whole map.

Its just an invisbile, infinite ground pane, here is a youtube video showing the problem:

In this video you can also see a weird texture glitch in the sea

    That's based off Gridmap right?
Your terrain (at least the lowest parts of it) are surely below height 0.
The oval is placed at 20-30 meters high, and that invisible plane (which indicates height 0 is right below it).

When you select your map and read it's coordinate, keep in mind it will not tell you the exact position in terms of height. It will show you the 'average' height, not the lowest or highest.

To move you need to select the terrain and simply move it up.
Eventually add a visible 'ground plane' at height 0 so you have a visible reference for that.
In the forest editor you can move all the trees and etc.
