Hi, I want to buy BeamNG at the end of the month when it will be released on Steam.
I tried BeamNG TechDemo 0.3 and the FPS is a bit bad, but playable.
I want to buy BeamNG so I need to know how much more FPS I will have on this system:

    Brand: Acer

    Model: Aspire 5920g
CPU: 1.6 GHz dual core (Intel Centrino) 667 MHz FSB
    RAM: 3 GB
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT TurboCache , up to 1024 MB
    Hard Disk: 250 GB
    OS: Windows Vista Home Premium

I know that the CPU is bad.
But I can play Team Fortress 2, Rigs of Rods and Minecraft, All 3 at max settings with no lag at all.
Overclocking my CPU I can run SpinTires as well, but I do not know about BeamNG.

Not the best PC and TF2 minecraft and RoR is no comparison to BNG :/ You would have some Fps issues with that specs

I honestly wouldn't get my hopes up too much... The CPU is really bad for BeamNG, not only is it quite old (and therefore less efficient),
but also the clock speed is way too low for some serious BeamNG gaming. With some luck, you'll be able to barely play one vehicle at 20FPS, two vehicles will get difficult already...

I guess you are running a 32 bit OS? The recent updates brought 64 bit support which gave a ~15% performance boost, but a 32 bit OS doesn't get that improvement.

Evem 20FPS is ambitious. My CPU is around double the performance of his and cant achieve 20fps.

Minecraft and TF2 are more graphics intensive than CPU. You have a dedicated GPU, a long obsolete one, but neither minecraft or TF2 are all that graphics intensive either to be fair.
CPU wise, you're toast. GPU wise, Torque3d does not run all that smoothly anyway.

I wouldnt even bother trying. Surprised anybody is using a PC like that as their main machine anymore.

I have a question. What is the GPU?
    - BeamNG Techdemo 0.3 laggs, but it's playable. The stripped pickup has no lagging AT ALL.

I'll make a video right now of in-game FPS in BeamNG Techdemo

The GPU is basically your graphics card. If you can run the newest techdemo, you will be able to get the same results from the actual game under the same circumstances.
    (same level, same car, etc)
Anything more than that (for example a "real" level and not just the gripmap) will certainly yield worse results.

How the hell does your computer even run?! Also how do you define "no lag at all" for something like minecraft cause 40 fps is considered "no lag" and so is 672 fps... So get your framerates and benchmarks in controlled invironmemts.

This is no better than my Miracle Machine... You'll probably get 20FPS (on gridmap, other maps: 10-12FPS) but the physics won't run at realtime. Also, with is being a laptop, I would be concerned with overheating and throttling, which will make the game entirely unplayable.

I can't install the new techdemo.

Ok, I overclocked my T5450 and played beamng. It runs like a beast, but a driver crashed and after half screen was "double". I mean, the letters and the icons weré. Like a shadow.
    Is it dangerous?

40 FPS is not called Lagging.

No offense but I really want to see the banana bench numbers on this. Your PC is going to have a hell of a time with BeamNG.

10 year old laptops+BeamNG a good time do not make.

    It's a 7 years old laptop, not 10.
I tried overclocking the cpu only and the pc could perfectly run Beamng at max settings.
But I didn't changed the voltage and the video driver crashed and restarted, so the screen, on the left was like out of focus. I am sorry but I have no images of the screen.
A restart of the computer solved the problem.

The temperature is always lower than 80 degrees playing the techdemo 0.3 with no overclocking.

80 degrees is best avoided. Its quite a high temperature.

    69c while idling?

    Should be half of that.

Considering its a laptop, its probably clogged with dust. Pull it open, clean any filters it has and blast all the dust out of the fan. If its 7 years old, a) its amazing it still lives and b) its thermal paste has probably expired too, you may need to replace that.

4 years ago it was belonging to my dad, and he got an iPad right 4 years ago. He says the ipad is better, so he just forgot the pc.
So he gave It to me. The laptop reached 129 degrease the last year in christmas playing Minecraft with a mod callled "Traincraft". I was making a tunnel in the jungle when the display began to show green stripes. I turned off my pc immediately.
The day after? Working perfectly, incredible... So in the evening I decided to open it and clean it. A LOT of dust!
OMG! My dad did not know that in computers you have to clean dust...
That PC has been turned on by me for the first time in 2008 and never cleaned. Now I'm cleaning it once a month.
But it still gets very hot. I will NEVER forgot that time when the pc started to "melt" the screen. It is perfectly working now.
This laptop doesn't want to die AT ALL.

    129°C?
I'm suprised the laptop didn't melt in front of your eyes.
I'm also suprised that it didn't even get damaged.

This thing is a tank. (It is also very heavy, I do not know the weight exactly, and it is also noisy.)
