Is it just bugs that are making the release date several months or other things? If it is bugs then I don't mind I know there will be lodes of them. Sorry if it isn't that. Anyway can't wait for the game I love how the AI try to crash into you and the slow motion! :D

IMO they could release the alpha thing now and give it some updates in the near future to fix any bugs/glitches...we don't mind ;D
I'ts kinda what they did with the PC version of GTA IV actually...:D

Don't be so quick to speak for everyone. Potentially great games can flop due to too many bugs. Whatever their reasoning, I'm sure it's a good one.

    Yep, what he said.
Plus, it would push away potential 'customers', because they may/may not be aware that it's Alpha (& they may/may not be aware what it means).
Even if they do, they might be lesser willing to buy it after having gone thru all those bugs & such.
Personally, I don't mind if it's released even now, because I understand what it would mean & how to "handle" it, I can't say that for everyone, esp. not for the newer members/future members here.

Well there is still features missing.

Some to name: Career sort of mode, Tire wear, splitting stuff(+plastic).
Don't know if career will be in the alpha, but the other two should be.

I agree with Petrovsky, I wouldn't mind if we had a chance to download a buggy BeamNG now, and if we got bug fixes with updates from time to time :D

We must remember, there are some people who don't know how to DEAL with a bug, and will promptly tableflip the moment one happens. I think that maybe the devs should create a competence test of sorts, and if you can pass it then you can get the game. Maybe present the person with a worst case scenario (BeamNG has damaged their OS) and provide a questionnaire asking how they go about the problem. Although this would likely waste massive amounts of development time to create :/. Ah well, I'm happy with the next couple of months projection, at least it gives us a relative time to look forward to, without holding the devs to any solid commitments.

    I agree.
But it could just be a simple questionnaire, maybe showing you some pictures of how the situation would look. That would be easy & a moments job, heck maybe someone from the community can make it, if the Devs agree to it & explain to him/her exactly what they want it to be like (the Q & choice A).

I agree too to be honest. I would quite happily pay money for what they have now and see updates in the future.

The problem is that they want to release a tech demo first. The point of a tech demo is to showcase your amazing new physics, and just how amazing can these new physics be of its buggy and crashing every hour or so? That would create bad hype and harm them more than help them.

Really? So what? It crashes once every hour? That doesn't make the game bad. Execute the game again lol haha... We've all seen the livestreams and it works. I've only seen it crash once and it was because they dropped a car from the sky...

(this is not a post asking for the release or anything, just giving my opinion here.)

I didn't mean it routinely crashes every hour. I know the game works, and it works almost perfectly from what I've seen. I'm just saying bugs (such as the car being dropped from the sky causing the game to crash) can upset people a lot. I myself could care less and want the demo as soon as possible, but there are a lot people who aren't appealed to "buggy" games. I think it benefits everybody to iron out the major bugs before any sort of release.

The responsible, 'grown up' side of me agrees with you but the childish impatient side says that I want it now! :) I just can't wait for the game that's all. I'm bored of a pretty much all my current games and want something new but there's nothing else I want but BeamNG. I'm having to rely on CoD to pass the time up until its release. I don't really think there are any bugs in it from what I've seen. Apart from the 'dropping car' scenario and perhaps some of the beams stretching a little bit too much. I would still like the release to be soon as possible since my YouTube channel is waiting on this game and so are a lot of my friends that I have told about this game.

Yeah, I definitely want the game right now as well :) It definitely doesn't look buggy from what we've been shown, but I remember a post from tdev about a month ago saying something about how the game is still buggy and crashes often. Of course that was about a month ago and we have no idea if those bugs still exist or not. If you need a game to hold you over until the release of beamng, I would suggest cube world. It is quite addicting and insanely fun.

I heard quite a bit about this game. And it's all good. Anyway let's try not to get off topic too much. I'll try this out and see what I think of it. :)
