it appears that the guys have been working on new sounds for a while already (or at least i hope so). they have hired a sound engineer about half a year ago if i remember correctly - so i assume that we will get proper sounds in some future update. the current sounds are just placeholders. all the cars share the same sound except for the covet. there have been a few mods to combat this in the past but i believe they where removed for copyright reasons (ripped sounds from need for speed). i guess you will just have to wait.
