is the ibishu pigeon a kei truck? the ibishu pigeon has an 550cc engine and the The maximum size a kei car engine can have is 660cc the pigeon is also a small vehicle just like a kai car/truck the pigeon also is a japanese vehicle made by the japanese manufacturer ibishu. and to my knowledge most Kai cars/trucks come from Japan it also is right hand drive What do you guys think?
I'm 99.9% sure that the Pigeon is in fact a kei truck! And the Wigeon fits the regulations as well. In the time period when the Pigeon would be produced, the kei regulations said the max engine size is 550c, hence that's it on the Pigeon. --- Post updated --- I really like kei cars to be honest
As a Japanese person who likes light trucks, I think of the Pigeon as a light truck. However, I'm guessing that the Pigeon is not a type of light truck that emphasizes practicality, but rather a light truck for leisure use.
sort of like a daihatsu midget II, it can be used commercially, but it's mostly just a funky retro (3 wheeled) thing.
I agree. It certainly looks a lot like Midget II. If Pigeon's next generation model (1990 model) is added someday, I'd like it to be a practical cab-over 660cc model.
BE cool if one day they made a 4 wheel flat nose version of it. To make it even smaller with even a 300 CC engine lol. BUT yes i think its a KEI witch i do enjoy using even as a mussel car and German car fan.
cool. Image of the 1990 Ibishu Pigeon (illustration drawn with paint software) In 1990, the standards for light vehicles were changed, and the upper limit was changed from 550cc to 660cc. So this 1990 Pigeon is 660cc.
