Is the thermal simulation realistic?

I'm asking this because after like 3km of driving with the 90s pessima the gauge still reads cold, whereas in comparison all the cars I've driven in real-life warm up very quickly when driving, or even idling, but many cars in Beamng seem to take a very long time to "warm up"

That shouldn't be happening, but it's not a full thermal simulation, but more of a trick, so it behaves realistically

 

It seems realistic while driving, but not at idle. It takes about the same amount of time in real life to warm up my car while driving as it does to warm up an equivalent car in BeamNG.drive while driving.
