Is there a workaround for the current bugged police AI?

    Since December, the police are genuinely brain dead. Even if you escape, they still aggro on you. The fact it wasn't fixed with a hotfix is just that little bit more distressing. Is there a way to temporarily fix the issue on my own as the release date of 0.35 is uncertain and whether the issue actually gets fixed is still in question. Sorry I sound a bit bent, it's just such a major bug and the fact hasn't been fixed yet has been incredibly annoying.
