    How would this laptop perform?
Before I list the specifications, I want to kindly make it clear that I don't know the most about computer performance and that I may need help understanding the suggestions. Anyway, I am thinking of purchasing an Asus ROG Strix Gaming laptop (mid-range model). Let me know if this laptop is capable of running the game with at least, 1 car, at 60fps, on the normal graphics preset. For $1800 CAN, this is pretty much the cheapest laptop I could find with these specs.

    Here are the specs:

    15.6" 1920/1080 display,
Intel Quad Core i7-6700 HQ 2.6 (Turbo to 3.5 GHz) Processor,
    16GB DDR4 RAM,
    Nvidia GTX970M with 3GB DDR5 Vram,
    1TB (7200 RPM) HDD,
    64-Bit Windows 10 OS.

Thats a lot of money to spend on a laptop considering people on these forums have built similar setups (desktops though) with a lot less.

$2000 CDN for a quad core laptop? wow.

I built my PC two years back for 1/4 of that cost and has similar specs, even today.

Yeah it is quite a bit. I was considering building a gaming PC, but I will be on the go a lot so a PC would not be ideal. And money is not too much of an issue. So will it perform good?

I think yes. My old Sony Vaio (VPCCW18FX) can run Beamng drive. Although official maps (Execpt for Grid Map and Grid small pure) are unplayable due to fps, modded maps runs very great. However, it is always recommended to use a desktop pc as it's better than a laptop and over heat less. Laptops are however, recommended if you're going on a trip and can't just wait to play BeamNG (like me), just remember to bring a cooling pad or else the laptop will thermal shut down (Just for me, but it's recommended to since over heating isn't a great thing for your laptop)

Yeah I am always hyped to play BeamNG drive, and with my current laptop overheating is a massive issue. I always bring a cooling pad with me especially when I play on my lap. Thanks!! :)
