Hi everyone! I’d like to share some of my work on the Italy map. The project’s codename is Italian Racing Roads. I really love this map, but I always felt it lacked proper race tracks. So, I decided to create a few circuits, as well as a drift area (something like the ETK Driver Training Center). In addition to adding new tracks, I have changed the containers in the port and will be making various small improvements. Planned Additions Old race track ✓ Modern race track (inspired by F4) ✕ Drift area ✓ Mountain touge route prep ✕ Drag strip ✓ Villa ✓ Missions for race tracks and drag ranking ✕ Drift configurations ✕ More night lighting ✕ Old Race Track: A small local circuit that used to host mass starts and large events. Nowadays, it occasionally holds drift events and time attack sessions. Due to a lack of funding, the track surface has deteriorated — potholes appear, and they're only partially patched with fresh asphalt. Drift Area: This area was originally built by Civetta and Cherrier for extreme driving courses. Over time, it became a popular venue for both small and large-scale drift events. Dragstrip: 402 meters of prepped asphalt right in the heart of Italy. Sometimes you can spot people there comparing unusual cars — kind of like CarUwU. ANDEGRAUND MOTORSPORT Garage: A small team services their cars here. They participate in both official competitions and underground races on Italy’s mountain roads. (It is located in garages on the drift site) Portino Auto Service: A regular shop where you can get a simple oil and filter change. Dyno Stand: A dynamometer located in a garage at the dragstrip’s parking lot. Known Issues on the Map Large file size (I’ll try to remove unnecessary props). Prepped asphalt doesn’t work on the dragstrip. Poor asphalt quality on the drift lot (this is a map issue). CK Map Controller is not configured. If you want to use my map as a base and sell it — I do not approve of that. If you notice that someone is selling my map, please let me know (this has already happened with my WCUSA). DOWNLOAD GDRIVE
This is such a cool idea! I've only ever seen people make street circuits in this map and not permanent circuits. I hope you finish this since i think it's an interesting concept.
The project is progressing slowly. Right now, I'm working on a drag racing track. I think I'll release it in early access once I finish working on the drag racing.
So, after quite a long break, I’ve done a bit more work on the map. Unfortunately, there are many things I can’t do for my own reasons. I hope you’ll like this version. Yes, it’s still unfinished and there’s a lot more that could be done, but I don’t want this map to just get lost somewhere on my hard drive. I’ll try to finish at least one more track. You can also take part by creating some configuration and uploading it here, since I’m not very good at drifting.
It looks fire! One thing tho: Will some content from your old "this is an improved italy baby" Project be moved over into this one (like the ETK dealer)? Edit: i didnt see your second message, the map is very good in its current state too! No pressure!
Yes, I was thinking about transferring the dealer's ETK, maybe it will be. You just need to play with textures because textures from ETK schools break textures in Italy
Whenever I enter the "Andeground Motorsport Garage" the car just gets spawned in all sorts of strange positions. Inside the wall, sideways next to the lift or basically any way except what I assume should be the correct way?
the triggers to teleport you into dyno and garages are acting weirdly teleporting you into the mapping items
Yes, there is a problem with this, since I could not correctly register the rotation for the teleporter, when teleporting, the atomobile may spin crookedly. I think I'll be able to link rotation in the update --- Post updated --- ETK Dealership
