im not sure if i already made a forum for this (i cant seem to find if i did) but i really need some help in editing the jbeam to make a mod. i see alot of successful modders for youtubers editing jbeams to fit the flexbody. but, however, when i try to edit the jbeam of a car, it always stays the same form (the civetta bollide) in the game. but the car parts (bumpers, doors and tailgates) always change. i do the same thing i do with those parts to the bodies (saving wise) but it never helps. if anyone can help me with this issue, that would be great!
Please can you share more details including the exact path to the files you are editing, screenshots of the changes etc? Without more specific information no one is going to be able help.
here is what the jbeam looks like in-game and in jbeam editor. as for the file path, here is that: C:\Users\myName\Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\unpacked\tutorialmod\vehicles\visionGT --- Post updated --- the front bumper with the lip is an example of what i mean by the other body parts being perfect, but the body is screwy.
Firstly is there any reason you are running an old version of the game? That always look suspicious to me. Using the Node Beam Editor to make jbeam changes is always unreliable it's not very good at saving, I would recommend using Notepad++.
That would be correct --- Post updated --- Ok. Also its a workaround. Lowkey too broke to buy a new pc or any new pc parts atm
Ok. Also its a workaround. Lowkey too broke to buy a new pc or any new pc parts atm how do i know where each node goes? like.....when you change a position, how do you see where it goes?
